Terms and Conditions of Hire

• The hire price includes: a repair kit, a helmet and a bike lock. For hygiene reasons, water bottles are not available for hire; they can be purchased in-store.

• Bikes can be collected between 9 am and 12 noon or between 2 pm and 6 pm. Bikes cannot be collected or returned between 12 noon and 2 pm. Please arrive before 12 noon or after 2 pm to collect or return your bikes.

• Bikes can be collected between 5.30 pm and 6.30 pm on the day before your hire, for an additional charge of €5.

• We do not hire bikes by the hour. Therefore:
  • 1 day’s hire = 9.00 am – 6.00 pm
  • Half-day hire = from 9.00 am to 12.15 pm or from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm

• The shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays, but you can hire bikes by booking directly with the shop, subject to certain conditions, with different rates and opening hours. On Mondays, it is not possible to collect or return bikes, but bikes can be collected or returned on Sunday evenings between 5.00 pm and 5.30 pm. Please contact us for further information. Advance booking is compulsory for Sundays.

• It is forbidden to load bicycles into the boot of a car. Except in special circumstances, the transport of bicycles must be notified in advance. Bicycles must be transported on suitable bike racks or in a van-type vehicle. All loads will be checked and may be refused.
  Please note that trailers cannot be attached to e-bikes, carbon road bikes or mountain bikes. They can only be attached to standard hybrid bikes.
• For e-bikes hired for more than one day, we provide a charger approximately 2 metres long. However, as the e-bike’s battery is not removable, the bike must be able to be charged directly from a wall socket. Many holiday rentals, B&Bs, hotels and private residences have a garage or facilities for charging the bikes directly. Please also ensure that the e-bikes can be stored overnight in a locked, secure and sheltered location.
• If weather conditions are too adverse, the hire booking may be cancelled.
• Guided tours may be available depending on your preferences. Booking is compulsory; please enquire at the shop for further information.
• A deposit, the amount of which depends on the type and number of bikes hired, is compulsory and must be paid by credit card. If the deposit cannot be paid, the bikes will not be hired out. You will be asked to present an identity card, passport or driving licence, as well as a physical credit card.
• Electric bikes for children are available for those aged 12 and over or at least 1.45 m tall, provided they are already confident cyclists. The rates are similar to those for adult electric bikes.
• All bike bookings, whether made online or by email, must be validated and confirmed by the shop. Otherwise, the booking will not be considered valid.
• Bikes can also be hired directly from the shop without a booking, subject to availability. Please also allow some time for a wait before setting off.
